Vale George Garis fR 1960
23 March 2010The St Andrew’s College community was saddened to learn of the death of Mr George Garis.
George was a Fresher at College in 1960. He came from Newcastle Boys High School to Andrew’s, studied Pharmacy at the University of Sydney and when qualified returned to Newcastle as a pharmacist.
George passed away suddenly on Friday 19 March while playing golf at Bribie Island. A "celebration of George's life" was held at Newcastle Golf Club on Thursday 25 March, 2010.
