On Wednesday 12 October Geoff and Sarah Hodgkinson presented the College with a trophy oar from the winning 1939 crew, stroked by their father Dick Hodgkinson (fr 1934), along with a beautifully-restored crew photo.
Members of the drought-breaking 1977 crew, some of whom had contributed to the restoration of the Copper Pot, presented the trophy back to the College, after its visit to the coppersmith.
The 2008 Rawson eight also returned to College, to receive a trophy oar.
Lastly, trophy oars were presented to the three 2011 crews, the first (and probably last) crews to win all three races at the InterCol regatta. Next year, there will only be two races, now that the women are rowing in an eight, over 2,000m, just like the men.
