The Junior Common Room, more accurately the Students' Club, which all undergraduate members of the College must join, is charged with the organisation and implementation of student activities on a day-to-day basis. The structure of the Students' Club, which is an incorporated body, allows each resident to choose their level of participation and contribution in various activities, which ultimately adds to the success and evolution of the College. This provides individuals or groups of residents with numerous opportunities to improve their leadership and teamwork skills in an open and productive environment.
There are currently over 200 members of the Students' Club. Each year the student residents elect a house-committee of 12 students who oversee the running of both intra-college and inter-college activities. These range from social functions, debating competitions, exchange dinners, Rawson Cup and Rose Bowl events, orations, and fund-raising activities. The House Committee is headed by the Senior Student and assisted by the Honorary Secretary and Honorary Treasurer.
