Below are some testimonials supporting our College from parents of current St Andrew’s students.
“I wanted to write to you in response to the recent negative publicity about College life, to express what an incredibly positive experience our daughter Izzy (fr 2016) has had at St Andrew’s.
Right from the start Izzy has loved College life. She has found Drew’s to be a caring and supportive environment and has made many wonderful friendships, which I’m sure will last a lifetime.
She has never experienced any of the negative issues portrayed in the press and feels (as we do) that the colleges have been grossly misrepresented in the media.
As a mother and a Child Abuse Paediatrician (very familiar with the horrors of sexual assault), I would not allow my daughter to attend College if I believed it was unsafe in any way. I wish the public could see College life for what it really is and especially the wonderful, talented, caring young people who live at St Andrew’s.
My husband and I both attended British universities and there is nothing equivalent to the Sydney Colleges there. The camaraderie at Drew’s is something very special, as are the events you put on for parents to include us in College life.
Thank you so much for all you do for these wonderful young people, and please keep doing what you are doing.”

“As a parent, I wish to thank you all on behalf of James, Adelaide (alumni), Alice (current student) and me – we watched 60 Minutes with total disbelief, firstly that journalism could be so pathetically one sided (and bad) and secondly, so misinformed and unashamedly so.
You have conducted yourselves with the highest regard in dealing with a multitude of sensitive issues and have done so brilliantly.
Susannah Cooke’s response was fabulous; clever, articulate and precise and as she said, the piece that no one wanted to read – such a shame that the press don’t celebrate the truth. We congratulate you all and thank you.”
