We had a chat to Sophomore Jock Lehman, who lives in room Thyne 513.
Q: How long have you lived at Drew’s?
A: About eighteen months now.
Q: Why did you choose Thyne?
A: I chose Thyne because I liked the intimacy of the rooms and the convenience of being so close to Main Building. I also love the fact that there are Freshers in the Dunge. This gives me the opportunity to get to know them in a different manner than if I was living in Reid.
Q: What do you get out of living at Drew’s?
A: I adore my College. Since I started in 2013 I have strived to contribute as much as I possibly can. Despite my extraordinary physique I have little talent in the sporting arena. I have participated in all the cultural avenues of College, as often as I can. I was cast in the 2013 DramSoc production of Noises Off last year and enjoyed it immensely. Only recently I have been told that I have also been cast in this year’s play An Accidental Death of an Anarchist. I am thrilled to be part of DramSoc again and incredibly excited to start this production. St Andrew’s will always have a special place in my heart. My health and happiness as it stands today is due largely to my College and especially those who attend it. I will never forget that.
Q: What’s your favourite thing about Drew’s?
A: The friendships and sense of family that Drew’s fosters. I know that there are people here now who will be in my life for many years to come. We care about each other immensely and I think that’s wonderful.
