Hannah Buckling Receives Prestigious SUSF Award

Hannah Buckling (fr 2010) has been named 2013 Sportswoman of the Year at the annual Sydney Uni Sport & Fitness (SUSF) Sports Awards dinner in the University of Sydney’s Great Hall.

This annual event celebrates the sporting achievements of Sydney University students and club members that have made an outstanding contribution to sport throughout the year.

Hannah’s most recent achievements include:

  • Representing Sydney Uni, NSW, University of Southern California and Australia in 2013
  • Member of the Australian Stingers team that won silver at the World Championships in Barcelona
  • Member of the Australian Stingers team that competed in America and Canada in the Holiday Cup and Canada Cup
  • Competing in the World League and also in the University of Southern California’s team that won the National Championships
  • Representing Sydney Uni at the Australian Uni Games (AUG), where the team won a silver medal and Hannah was selected in the Green and Gold Team.

Hannah’s award was presented by Andrew West, a Fellow of the Senate and University of Sydney Bachelor of Arts (Hon) graduate.

Hannah is currently a Bachelor of Science student majoring in Immunology, and is hoping to progress to a degree in medicine.
