On Thursday 14th of March, the Palladian Cup for 2013 kicked off to a roaring start with Oration being hosted at home in the St Andrew’s College Dining Hall. The evening proved to be great success with all of the colleges producing two highly entertaining speeches on the topic of “Fair Play”.
After auditions were held in the weeks prior, Tim Sullivan and FR Georgie Perkins were selected to represent Drews. Many thanks to Debra Maher and Margaret Mackenzie who helped select and coach Tim and Georgie.
On the night St John’s opened with a stirring performance and the calibre of speeches was set high. Sure enough, Georgie and Tim both excelled in their speeches and came away with a 2nd and 3rd place respectively.
The Students’ Club is extremely proud of their performance and is excited about the early success in the Palladian Campaign.
