Accommodation in 2023
The Annual Dinner is held during the university semester and as a result, we will be unable to offer accommodation as students will still be residing at the College. The good news is that we have been able to arrange alternative accommodation at the nearby Rydges Hotel at a special St Andrew’s rate of $189 per night.
This offer is available online, via their website: https://www.rydges.com/private-page/st-andrews-college/
Giving Back to College
In 2023, the SACAS Committee, College and Foundation are working together to raise funds to support two key building projects: the Main Building Bedroom Refurbishment and the Junior Common Room Upgrade.
The Main Building Bedroom Refurbishment will see the 90 heritage bedrooms of Main upgraded to the same standard as the newer buildings across the College. This will include new desk and bed furnishings, extra and improved storage spaces, under-floor heating, ceiling fans, and an overall design complimentary to the building’s heritage.
The initial ideas for the much-needed upgrade of the Junior Common Room envision a versatile space that serves as a café during the day and transforms into an evening bar as required. The renovation will offer students additional study space, comfortable dining areas, and a functional café that we can also invite alumni and parents to use. A vibrant and purposeful Junior Common Room is vital for enhancing the student experience at a residential college.
Every year, the SACAS Annual Dinner and Golf Day events encourage alumni to make a gift in support of a current area of need. Last year, attendees at both events helped to raise over $4,200 towards the new scholarship for undergraduate women.
Every gift counts, no matter the size and 100% of all donations go towards the project. You can make a gift with your ticket purchase or by visiting the College’s website.
