Professor Ian Jack Essay Prize

Professor Ian Jack was an eminent scholar and the Senior Fellow of St Andrew’s College. He was in residence for more than 40 years, during which time he had an enormous impact on the cultural and intellectual life of the College. The Professor Ian Jack Essay Prize provides students with an opportunity to explore an idea on a topic set by the Academic Sub-Committee. The winning applicant will demonstrate intellectual flair and mastery of the short essay genre. More information is available on the Drews Intranet.

Principal’s Prizes

The College runs competitions in art, prose and poetry. The winner of these competitions is awarded a prize at the annual Valedictory Dinner. Entrants are encouraged to engage thoughtfully with the stimulus provided and demonstrate both creativity and technical mastery. More information is available on the Drews Intranet.
