Scholarships

St Andrew’s College is a welcoming and inclusive community. We award up to $2 million in scholarships annually, and around half of our students receive at least one scholarship.

St Andrew’s Scholars Award

The St Andrew’s Scholars program seeks to support our future leaders by awarding up to three scholarships each year. The Scholarships will provide financial support of full fee-relief and will be awarded for a maximum of 3 years.

The Scholars will be exceptional young men and women who will thrive academically, are ‘engaged in life’ and have the potential to make a significant positive contribution to College and, in the future, the wider community.

Means-Tested Scholarships (Bursaries)

The College offers many means-tested scholarships (also known as bursaries) each year. These are awarded to meritorious students who lack the financial means to otherwise be able to come to College.

Indigenous Student Scholarships

In 2024, St Andrew’s College will have multiple scholarships available to support indigenous students who wish to study at university and live at St Andrew’s College.

Creative Arts Scholarships

The College offers a variety of creative arts scholarships. Students are obligated to complete, or participate in, activities related to their scholarship in order to fulfil the requirements. Scholarships available are:

– Major Residential Music Scholarship
– Choral Scholarship
– Convenor of Chamber Music Scholarship
– Convenor of Jazz and Contemporary Music Scholarship
– Keyboard Accompanist Scholarship
– Instrumental Scholarship
– Piping Scholarship
– Cultural Project Scholarship (including drama, oration, visual art, etc)
– Scott West Organ Scholarship

Non-Residential Music Scholarships

The College offers partial fee relief for places in its Non-Residential Program. To be eligible for these scholarships, students must be high-performing musicians, whether vocalists, instrumentalists or composers.

Sporting Scholarships

Applicants are not required to submit applications for sporting scholarships. They are awarded in collaboration with the Elite Athletes Program (University of Sydney)

GradReady GAMSAT Merit Scholarships

GradReady is proud to award one student residing at St Andrew’s College a GradReady GAMSAT®Attendance (Comprehensive) Course each year. The scholarship is designed for prospective medical students and provides them with comprehensive preparation for the Graduate Medical Schools Admission Test (GAMSAT®). Please click here for more details on the course.

GradReady is an education technology company aimed at making learning more effective and engaging. GradReady has helped over 6,000 students prepare for the GAMSAT® exam since 2010. Post Graduate Research Scholarships

St Andrew’s College wishes to encourage more research post graduates to reside at St Andrew’s College. Up to 4 scholarships will be available in 2024 for students undertaking research masters, PhD or post doctoral research studies.
