Scholarships
St Andrew’s College is a welcoming and inclusive community. We award up to $2 million in scholarships annually, and around half of our students receive at least one scholarship. Due to high demand, we encourage all prospective students to submit an application as soon as possible. Further information on each scholarship can be found below.
Applications for entry to St Andrew’s College for 2024 will open in May.

Sporting Scholarships
Applicants are not required to submit applications for sporting scholarships. They are awarded in collaboration with the Elite Athletes Program (University of Sydney).
St Andrew’s Scholars Program
The College’s most substantial scholarships are awarded through our St Andrew’s Scholars Program.
Up to three St Andrew’s Scholarships (full fee relief) are awarded each year.

All-Round / Academic Merit Scholarships
The College offers all-round merit scholarships to students who have demonstrated a high level of academic, leadership and extra-curricular potential. The amount is at the Principal’s discretion but generally ranges from $2,000 to $10,000.
Creative Arts / Public Speaking Scholarships
The College offers a variety of creative arts scholarships. Students are obligated to complete, or participate in, activities related to their scholarship in order to fulfil the requirements. Scholarships available are:

– Convenor of Jazz and Contemporary Music Scholarship
– Keyboard Accompanist Scholarship

Means-Tested Scholarships (Bursaries)
Applications for the 2023 academic year open on 1 July 2022
The College offers many means-tested scholarships (also known as bursaries) each year. These are awarded to meritorious students who lack the financial means to otherwise be able to come to College.

Non-Residential Music Scholarships
The College offers partial fee relief for places in its Non-Residential Program. To be eligible for these scholarships, students must be high-performing musicians, whether vocalists, instrumentalists or composers.
Postgraduate Research Scholarships
The College offers a number of postgraduate research scholarships each year. These scholarships are worth up to $7,000 per year. Prospective applicants must apply in writing detailing how they would contribute to the life of the College, and attach a recent copy of their CV and academic transcript.
Indigenous Student Scholarships
The College offers up to ten scholarships to Indigenous applicants each year. The exact amount is awarded on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us if you would like further information.
GradReady GAMSAT Merit Scholarships
GradReady is proud to award one student residing at St Andrew’s College a GradReady GAMSAT®Attendance (Comprehensive) Course each year. The scholarship is designed for prospective medical students and provides them with comprehensive preparation for the Graduate Medical Schools Admission Test (GAMSAT®).
