St Andrew’s College is a welcoming and inclusive community. We award up to $2 million in scholarships annually, and around half of our students receive at least one scholarship. Due to high demand, we encourage all prospective students to submit an application as soon as possible. Further information on each scholarship can be found below.

Means-Tested Scholarships (Bursaries)

The College offers many means-tested scholarships (also known as bursaries) each year. These are awarded to meritorious students who lack the financial means to otherwise be able to come to College.
Creative Arts / Public Speaking Scholarships
Applications are open for returning students for the 2022 academic year (closing: 24 October 2021)

The College offers a variety of creative arts scholarships. Students are obligated to complete, or participate in, activities related to their scholarship in order to fulfil the requirements.

All-Round / Academic Merit Scholarships
Applications are open for the 2022 academic year (closing: 1 December 2021)
The College offers all-round merit scholarships to students who have demonstrated a high level of academic, leadership and extra-curricular potential. The amount is at the Principal’s discretion but generally ranges from $2,000 to $10,000.
Indigenous Student Scholarships
Applications open for the 2022 academic year (closing: 1 January 2022)
The College offers up to ten scholarships to Indigenous applicants each year. The exact amount is awarded on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us if you would like further information.
Postgraduate Research Scholarships
Applications are open for the 2022 academic year (closing: 14 January 2022)
The College offers a number of postgraduate research scholarships each year. These scholarships are worth up to $7,000 per year. Prospective applicants must apply in writing detailing how they would contribute to the life of the College, and attach a recent copy of their CV and academic transcript.
Applicants are not required to submit applications for sporting scholarships. They are awarded in collaboration with the Elite Athletes Program (University of Sydney).

The College’s most substantial scholarships are awarded through our St Andrew’s Scholars Program.

Non-Residential Music Scholarships
Applications are now closed for the 2021 academic year
The College offers full scholarships for places in its Non-Residential Program. To be eligible for these scholarships, students must be high-performing musicians, whether vocalists, instrumentalists or composers.
