On Friday 26 August, St Andrew’s College celebrated Wear It Purple Day. Wear it Purple is a student led, not for profit organisation that St Andrew’s College were proud to support.
Many staff and residents at St Andrew’s wore an item of purple clothing and/or purple wrist bands to mark Wear It Purple Day.
Wear It Purple and St Andrew’s College wants young people everywhere to know that they have the right to be proud of who they are. Sex, sexuality or gender identity does not change this. The simple message is; “You have the right to be proud of who you are.” Everyone has the right to live and learn in a safe and supportive environment where diversity is valued and everyone feels included.
