In Semester 1, St Andrew’s College hosted the Intercol Women’s Rugby 7s tournament. It was a warm and exciting day, with students and the extended St Andrew’s community come to celebrate women’s sport.
Teams from St John’s, Wesley, Women’s and Sancta competed with St Andrew’s in the fun day-long tournament for a place in the finals, and a kicking competition at midday prompted guests of all ages to join in.
Food and beverages were available throughout the day, including a coffee cart and burger bar, whilst cheese platters were also provided as complimentary for guests by the College.
There were amazing prizes in the raffle on the day, thanks to donations from several generous members of the St Andrew’s community. These included two nights’ accommodation at Barossa Shiraz Estate, two Taronga Zoo Friends Annual Memberships and two 20 Years of Undergraduate Women Limited Edition Merchandise Packs.

Proceeds from merchandise sales and raffle tickets at the event went towards funding the new means tested scholarship for undergraduate women – which aims to support young women to realise their potential. Over $2,500 was raised!
